In 1993 the Amazon came to London and the Durini Gallery in Chelsea for a stunning exhibition of Kim Poor's 'Legends of the Amazon' work. Two private views were hosted by the Brazilian Ambassador His Excellency Paulo Tarso Flecha de Lima and the gallery windows were filled with tropical plants as Brazilian musicians played pieces specially composed for the exhibition giving the whole event the aura of a trip through the Amazon jungle. The exhibition was critically acclaimed and received much coverage in the English press.
